1970 Cab Ride from Wirksworth to Derby
28th November 1970

A fascinating collection of images taken on a freight service from Wirksworth to Derby in November 1970.

Taken by Ecclesbourne Valley Railway supporter Paul Abell, the occasion was a visit by the Nottingham University Transport Society.

The images are a little blurry but considering the atrocious weather conditions on the day, they are well worth viewing for their fascinating insight into the operation of the Wirksworth Branch in the early 1970s.
